- Christina Clemm, a lawyer, has long worked as an attorney representing victims of gender-based violence. Her publications include the volumes AktenEinsicht (Inspecting the Files) and Gegen Frauenhass (Countering Misogyny).
- Maren Röger is the Director of the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (Leipzig). She is currently working on a monograph on the European history of intimate partner violence and femicide.
- The Research Group led by Julia Burkhardt is bringing a group of international female researchers to Munich. They will spend a year jointly examining both the historical dimension of this issue and its significance for the current debate around femicide. Tonight’s event highlight that femicide is a phenomenon that is not bound to any particular epoch.
The event falls within the remit of the CAS Research Group “Femicide: Interdisciplinary Approaches to a Global Historical Phenomenon”.
